I rode the boat on the river to the sea,
To everyone who is looking at me.
From the humble brooks and shallow waters,
I found happiness being one of Hollywood’s daughters.
The sun is shining, it is very bright.
And the stars liter on a canopy of red,
As I smile ever so sweet every night-- thinking
of a palace of mirrors as I sleep on my bed.
I am beauty incarnate.
From the concrete jungle,
I traveled to greener plains
I see the top of the hills
As I ride the waves.
But sometimes I wonder,
If the winds on my sails,
Will tear them asunder.
The knowledge that most that have made this journey,
Find themselves in a dreadful hurry.
To know that all the beauty is all mine,
Is prescience to seek only my last line.
Who would have thought that the sweet young Disney star would later become the controversial, wrecking ball riding, and joint smoking celebrity she is today? Dressed in her outfits, which are very revealing to say the least, she sings her heart out to attention-grabbing, last song syndrome inducing songs that does nothing but accentuate her Ferrari red lips and porcelain white skin. Say what you want about my girl, I just love her. And while she isn’t the prettiest or most respected female pop star of the time, she certainly exuded more daring confidence than her contemporaries, Katy and Gaga this year, and stole the scene from underneath their feet. She’s like watching a cocoon turn into a butterfly, radically changing, making it known to the world that her feet are finally off the ground.
Taylor Alison Swift is known globally as a singer-songwriter from the United States for her country pop songs. The success of her first singles such as "Our Song", "Love Story" and "You Belong With Me" catapulted her into the global stage. Her lyrical musings of teenage life with a hint of nostalgic after effects makes her one of the few artists in the world that brings together a plethora of experiences from one's youth.
TheCartoonist special message: It was Taylor's birthday yesterday! Happy Birthday Taylor Swift <3
Tom Cruise was born on July 3, 1962. He is a well known actor from Hollywood, and his rise to fame was when he stared in the 1986 movie Top Gun. It was the hit movie series Mission: Impossible with him starring as Ethan Hunt at the time led to the peak of his mainstream success.
TheCartoonist trivia: Some other movies that I liked with Tom Cruise include, Rain Man, Jerry Maguire, and The Last Samurai.
Beyond the concrete mountains,
I look for the neon sunrise,
And the river of bright red lights,
That leads back home.
He’s the phantom of the night,
An ominous mystery,
But provides me security,
He whispers to me words—
Like drops from an absinthe spoon,
Clever yet asinine, the wise young fool.
He looks over the oriental seas,
As her ships come to his lonely shore.
He loves me;
Though the love we share is platonic at best,
I can’t help but wonder if I am like the rest.
He knows me too well.
And when his night sirens beckon me,
To awake from my slumber; I wonder,
Did I ever give him the love he deserved?
Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 and he is the world renowned businessman who founded The Walt Disney Company, the largest media conglomerate to date. Once also a fellow Cartoonist by trade, a series of business ventures in the cartoon business eventually led him winning a special Academy Award in 1931 for the creation of his most famous cartoon "Mickey Mouse".
Pac-Man, The Nation's Fist, THe Mexicutioner, The Destroyer, Fighting Pride of the Philippines, National Godfather (for Filipinos reading this, I never thought Manny was called the Pambansang Ninong), The Fighting Congressman, The Filipino Slugger, The People's Champion etc. etc. Manny is our national heritage. With him lies every Filipino's hope and dream to one day transcend poverty, and reach one's full potential. I'm not a fan of boxing (too violent for me ^__^), but I am a fan of what Manny is to my country.
Did you know that Nicki once worked at Red Lobster as a waitress? I’m pretty sure she didn’t get any more tips taking orders with an extra side of flow, because she got fired for being rude to customers. No disrespect, but my girl sure knows how to wreck rhymes with a fancy flair. Did I mention I love her hair? Lil’ Kim’s second coming? I don’t think so. Whatever Nicki has brought to the quintessential arena of female rap, she has done with a unique sass and style that is sure to last for years to come.
"Terry is a broadcaster, TV presenter, writer, actor, stand up comedian, and producer. Early on in his career he was involved in the local music scene, eventually helping create his own show called The Word that brought new music to British TV. Currently he is still involved in music and producing, but has also recently been doing stand up comedy, with his show: 'Naked Confessions of a Recovering Catholic.'"
It’s Sunday morning and I just want to curl up in my bed and listen to If I Ain’t Got You while drinking my morning tea. Alicia is the type of artist that just brings a lot of soul to her music. The words and melodies of her songs just spill into my own emotions; and somehow, every heartache and loving memory within me speaks with one voice. Somehow, everything’s going to be alright.
Now I'm not sure why I would post Kobe here in my blog, since I am not the type of girl that follows basketball (sorry guys). I had an ex though that was certainly obsessed with him, and when I read about him somewhere online I decided to make this really funny cartoon of his face ^__^. Random, yes? I hope all you Kobe fans out there like it.
She's the tallest and also one of the most boombastic girls of SNSD. Tell me about it, this lovely girl knows how to smile and .. growl that is sure to make any male member our species tremble. Who knew? She's also supposedly the one most beautiful without makeup! Now that will make any girl envious, even me. Still I love her ^__^
There are a lot of new guys and girls becoming rising stars in the music world, one of them is Zendaya. I don't know about the Bieb, but he should watch out... there are a million other kids out there waiting for their chance and Zendaya kinda on top of the food chain. She can sing, dance, and act her way to the top and everyone, everyone will notice.
Ed is an eccentric. Who in the world would go to Los Angeles with a guitar, one sure gig, and an unwavering dream? Ed would. James Morrison supposedly has done 200 gigs in a year, Ed did 312 in 2009. Ed has Endurance. I wish to see more from this rising music star, he deserves more attention than he already has (which is already a lot ^__^). Go redheads!
I was blown away when I realized that Candace was voiced by Ashley (from the hit cartoon series Phineas and Ferb). She certainly is a very busy, busy woman. Singing at the White House at age twelve?! Who knew. While her part as Sharpsay in High School Musical is still the role she's known for the most-- being in the cover of Maxim, topless, certainly has made me look at Ashley at a whole new perspective. What a dynamic person she is.
Chloë, according to her, has a very happy family life; this is in contrast to most of the roles she has been playing at a very young age. I can't believe this girl is only 16 years old! I wish I was famous like her when I was sixteen ^__^ And who wouldn't be jealous? To think this girl also likes playing video games... Must have been hard having all those weird boys liking you huh? Well, I wish you well. ^__^
This girl right here can dance, and rightfully so. Hyoyeon is an underrated talent in SNSD. What I like most about her is that she's someone who has no pretensions. She works hard, and from what I read about her she's the only member of SNSD who actually trained with the guys. Go girl power! ^__^
WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING?

Before I embarrass myself with more of my not-so-girly interests, I would just like to thank everyone who has submitted so far here in my blog. Don't worry I promise to finish all of your cartoons once I have the time this week ^__^. Again, thank you, and y'all don't be a jabroni!
Only recently have I tried to listen to Kyary, and I freakin' love it! Ninjya Re Bang Bang is so far my favorite. There's this childlike playfulness in her music videos and live performances that I definitely enjoy. Also, the costumes she wears are so pretty, and as they say kawaii. Maybe I should have my tailor dress me in one of those hmm? ^__^
Any celebrity who started her career on Barney and Friends deserves to be commended; most especially if that celebrity spent two seasons with Selena (sorry Selena fans... I just don't like her ^__^). Seriously though, Miley may be my favorite Disney Channel celebrity over the past few years, but I hold a lot of respect for Demi. She is a great actress, singer, and I heard also a great philanthropist. I'm proud of what this lady has become. ^__^
It's hard to be the leader of a group. It's especially hard if you don't have the height advantage among your group mates (though it's debatable whether Sunny has the privilege to be called the shortest). Taeyeon is not my favorite SNSD member, but for most of my guy friends... she's their crush. I have this one particular guy friend (who is such a geek, and a SNSD fan-atic) has posters of her all over his room. Such a cute little geek he is ^__^, though I can't blame him, with a great voice and such a cute face, she surely deserves to take a leading role in Girls' Generation.
For those who don't know this charming young man his name is Byun Baekhyun and he is part of the South Korean boy band EXO. Don't know much about him yet, (except that he's super cute ^__^) but I will listen to more of EXO over the next few days.

This is a cartoon requested by someone from Indonesia. ^__^ Thank you I'm glad you let me make this for you!
To all my readers, don't be shy to send requests of your friends or favorite celebrities through my email. I'll be happy to make your requests in my free time. ^__^ But, if you want to make sure it gets posted on my blog please help out by getting your own cartoon here. Of course, great stories behind why you want a cartoon posted here are also helpful. ^__^ Thank you to all my readers!
I see Matt Damon at the movies. I see him, and I see one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood. He acts, writes, and produces movies. Matt Damon is a monster (in a good way). In every movie he is in, I always like his solid and crisp acting that brings out any character. He needs to say only a few words. He's not one of my crushes, but definitely he is still dreamy. ^__^ Thank you Matt, for being such a wonderful man.
I think about Britney Spears, and I think about what she has done for the pop culture of the late 90s, up until today. Britney wasn't just any ordinary pop sensation, she was the sensation for a time. And while Madonna, Whitney Houston, or Janet Jackson may have been pioneers with respect to being pop icons, Britney gave it that 90s raunchy sex appeal that found its way to the teens of that generation, and of succeeding generations. Being a pop music icon not only meant breaking barriers with your sound, your lyrics, but also with your everything. Even now Britney is still known for her glorious Icarus flight to infamy, with paparazzi always there to feed the tabloids about her latest moves. As of late though, it looks like she's blossomed once again, and I'll watch out for this girl ^__^ yes I will.
Sunny is the 3rd SNSD member I feature in my blog, and of all of them-- she lives on a different level of cute compared to all the other girls. ^__^ She has this confused and fun smile that just makes me laugh every single time. And that wink (see the cartoon), I wish I could do that! It's like she still has the heart of a 12 year old. Of all of them, she's the one I like to watch the most. ^__^ Thank you for making me smile today Sunny, I hope you like my cartoon of you.
Chris Evans is perfect for the role of Captain America, not just because of his incredible physique, but also because of his blue eyes, chiseled jaw, and sexy smile. Okay so those are also physical qualities of this hottie, but what can I say readers, it's what makes him stand out. Sometimes I make this cartoon the screensaver of my mac and just stand near the upper right corner of my screen and just dream about... the day he would propose to me. Underneath all the masculinity, I wouldn't think he was such an open supporter of gay rights. Oh Chris. Save me from my ordinary life. </3
No words here can express the magnificence of The King of Rock and Roll. Without him, pop culture as we know it would not have existed.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is the first movie that comes to mind (not the oh so controversial Memoirs of a Geisha) when I remember Ms. Zhang. Though in reality, the first thing people realize when they see her, and they know me, is that I have an uncanny resemblance with this Chinese star. Come on now people, she's not at all that hot... ^__^ I remind them to always have their eyes checked before talking to me again.
Behind the cold and defiant facade of Jessica, there is another more personal side that only her most loyal fans can see. One fan even said that she is "warm ice" obviously, an oxymoron that speaks about her heart-warming grace that she imparts to everyone that has supported her through the years. That's why she has all these undying fans by her side-- while on the outside she can be undoubtedly confident and brutally honest, deep inside she's just a regular girl like you and me. <3 you Jessica.
Yoona is the first girl from the popular South Korean girl group Girl's Generation. I'm surprised to find out that she's recently been dating famous Korean singer/actor Lee Seung-gi. You go girl. Good luck with SNSD (So Nyeo Shi Dae)!
For most of you it’s probably the first time you’ve heard of Coco Rocha, the Canadian supermodel. For me, it’s probably the 419th time I have to envy her gorgeous eyes. Too bad boys, she’s married (though I should remind you guys that I’m still single). Need I say more? The photographs can tell the rest of the story.
Most people I know when asked about rap and the first thing that comes to their mind is their commercialized Hip Hop and Dance songs that hit the airwaves at a constant rate in the past few years. Not that I’m hating (and yes even I mindlessly dance to these songs too every time I transform back to my former extroverted self and attend what they colloquially refer to as “partiesâ€), but there was once a time rap was poetry—socially charged poetry aimed at spreading a message. Tupac was, in my belief the last popular rapper that embodied this message. Look, if you’re a kid who grew up with revolutionary parents at East Harlem, reading Shakespeare, Machiavelli, and Bakunin, I’m sure something must have happened in between. What’s a girl like me doing listening to Tupac? Well, there was this ex of mine who used to send me rap songs from the 90s, and recently I decided to listen to them while I cartoonize. It’s a shame though, the great ones always die young.
I am not going to tell her name so let us call her Jenny. Corny as it sounds she was my crush from 5th Grade. One time we got paired for a Science experiment at class and I was ecstatic about the whole deal. She must have been weirded out by me because I kept staring at her eyes. Somehow through the years we came to have the same circle of friends and found her on Facebook. She still has the same gorgeous eyes. I wish I could tell her but I am still the dweeb she knew back then.
Aww, don’t pity yourself too much Mr. Dweeb-Man. I’m sure Jenny would love to get to know you if you had enough confidence. ^__^ The trick is to get out of your mom’s basement first.
Just kidding! I’m glad you sent this note to me. I hope you find your happiness somewhere in the vastness of the universe. <3
Here’s someone I handpicked to post from yesterday:
This is the guy that delivers stuff I buy from Amazon to my house most of the time. I always thought he was a nice guy. He was always polite enough to wait awhile because it takes me a long time to answer the door. I never asked what his name was until it was his 6th time to deliver something. I’ve always had cartoons made here so I decided to buy one for him, I really don’t know why. Of course that will mean he’ll find out I stalked him on the internet. So instead of giving this cartoon to him I decided instead to send you this email so that you’ll post it in your blog. Maybe he’ll find out it was me, maybe he won’t, but at least he’ll know that for whatever it’s worth, he’s a good guy in my book.
That voice, those lines, and that stage presence made this cutie musician one of my favorites. John was certainly my favorite of the four, not that I don’t have love for Paul, George or Ringo, but there’s nothing wrong to pick a special someone. Seriously though, John always reminded me of brashly fixed long hair and rose tinted glasses; a requirement for anyone who is my type (exceptions of these rules are numerous). I digress, and I think if there is one definite aspect of John’s life that inspires me the most it is this: his transcendence from a turbulent beginning with no direction, to something greater filled with purpose and grace.

Hailing from the beautiful parish of Saint Michael in the island of Barbados, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, more commonly known by her stage name Rihanna is one of the most recognizable names and faces in the entertainment industry today. Some of these songs include "Don't Stop the Music", "Take a Bow", "Disturbia", and my favorite - "Umbrella".
Fun fact: just like TheCartoonist, Rihanna grew up listening to reggae music.
